Bringing A New Cat Home (Important Advices)

Letting Your Kitten Loose

Once you’ve got her space ready and you’ve brought her home in her provider, set the carrier in the room and open the door, but don’t force her to come out up until she’s prepared.

Even after she’s out, leave the carrier in the corner, this will supply an additional, familiar hiding spot.

She may conceal a fair bit upon arrival, but felt confident that she’s out checking out when you’re not looking. It is important to understand that she’ll be looking for attention from you day and night!

Leave familiar items like the litterbox, food, water dishes and her bed in the same spot so she understands where to find them.

Keeping up to Date on Veterinary Care

Although kitties get some defense against illness from their moms at birth and through nursing, that immunity slowly subsides and it’s up to you to keep them safe by following a vaccination schedule, which should start around 2 to 3 months of age.
