Dogs can oftentimes find it quite unsettling when they are placed with their new owners for the first time – entirely understandable as they are suddenly in a new home, with a lot of new and unfamiliar faces, smells, and objects, not to mention new rules for them to learn.

But there are also many occasions when dogs are very excited to meet their new owners, and luckily for us, some of those moments were captured on camera so we can see these special first moments of humans finding their new best friends and visa-versa.
